Beautiful Bella Blvd.

Here are some of the layouts I made with the newest Bella Blvd. paper and embellishments.

The cute chipboard stickers are great for layering with the labels and banner stickers! And I really like all of the different font and size options of the letter stickers. They will suit any taste and style, and the quantity will last through many a layout.

 

I really love the single-colour, simple pattern paper. The colours are basic enough to coordinate with pretty much any other paper line out there! You can even grunge them up a little bit with some ink, and they keep on looking great!

Friday Featuring KC

Here are some fun and bright layouts from KC using some of the new Cosmo Cricket. I give her a baby-themed line and she scrapbooks her road trip photos! Just goes to show how versatile this line truly is!

This weeks website is about food & travel, the recipes are good... I guess? I never tried them. To me the highlight is the photography of the dishes and their ingredients. Some of the best food photography I've seen!

Technique Tuesday - a Card from Ginger

Here is a sweet card that Ginger submitted for our Customer Feature Contest. She used some great techniques to make that fabulous background. Here, I'll let her describe it for you:

"I used the Ranger Distress Inks to create the base of the card and then took the Heidi Swapp stamp to create a framed edge which I embossed giving it some extra dimension. The Distress Inks were used again on the owl chipboard piece to give the card some consistency in design. The use of glimmer mist on the flowers gives it an extra pop of color while the sewed on red ribbon gives a linear base for the owl and flower to sit."

I love the giant ruffles in the bright red ribbon, and how all the colours go together, but stand apart from each other.

Picnic Blanket Travels Well!

Oh my! This last batch of layouts is a doozie! And they are all travel themed. I found that the colours and patterns really worked well for some of my recent vacation photos. And we've got locations as varied as Chicago, Cancun, Jasper and Drumhellar!

Kit Tip: Try thinking of your journaling as another design element on your layout. I like the look of strips and stripes of pattern paper, so when I apply the same logic to my journaling the effect is quite lovely!

That is all from Picnic Blanket! I hope you were all very inspired to do some kit-scrapping of your own. This kit sold out in record time - by the 4th, I believe - but there are loads of great ideas and tips here to try with whatever supplies you have on hand!
